Now now children...
Both consoles are implementing features the other had.
Trust me when I say the controller is superb. I used it at Eurogamer. The grip edges on the sticks and the smaller size of the tips make the response very sensitive. The triggers feel even more pronounced to start with but after a few seconds I forgot I was using a new controller especially after 10 mins of BF4. The whole thing is ever so slightly smaller but was still fine for my shovel hands.
The rumble triggers could be a game changer. In Forza they are almost a bit unnerv...
The Sony fanboys are by far and away the worse. The venom they have toward MS this gen is staggering, trolling all over the Internet wherever Xbox news is posted. GAF and N4G is now a Sony gang bang. It's very hard to be objective anywhere now. The only site where I can have a balanced conversation is beyond3d because it's mods are strict.
If I didn't know any better it's almost like they seem threatened by MS. PS4 is good enough to stand on its own two feet w...
Does anyone else think its odd that after 24hrs this has only reached 290 deg on N4G?
Hey I was there. This is what I was told by the people running the stands especially DriveClub. I saw DriveClub and NFS units rebooted or crashed to windows desktop. When this happened to one of the DriveClub units it was quickly surrounded by staff and corrected to avoid photos.
It doesn't change the fact that MS had over 110 real x1s in use on display for all to see - nothing hidden - no BS. Sonys machines were hidden from view and the sparse number of real PS4s in use ...
I've used both and I think they are both much improved. The X1 controller for me was preffered due to the stick layout and the rumble triggers. The grip edges on the X1 sticks are very good as well.
To what changes do you refer?
Something GPU related? Just curious.
MS had over 110 live XB1s at Eurogamer that you could touch. I think there was about 20 real PS4's. Most of the software was running from locked boxes which I was told contained a dev kit type PC.
Its really good that Sony have got some proven real hardware out for show but its taken them far to long. I was expecting Eurogamer to be the other way around. Loads of PS4s and only a few XB1s seeing as we are told on this site so often that MS are behind and are rushing etc.
Spot on. I wasn't sure on the res but as we were literally standing in front of a 36-40" TV and it looked great then it must be a lot higher than 720. I wouldn't be surprised if like RYSE they managed 900p with some good AA/scaling from the reportedly superb hardware scaler.
I had no concerns about it at all having played 20days worth of BF3.
BF4 on Xbox One at Eurogamer was bloody glorious. I'm sure its just as good on PS4.
It was fast, smooth and loud. It felt like playing a PC game.
Just you wait 360 owners. Once you play this on X1 you will be hooked 100%.
Best game at EGX in my opinion although CoD ghost was much better than I had expected as well.
What a fuss.
Rude/Offensive emblems get made in CoD all of the time. Report it or ignore it then move on.
If the creator if this actually supports a neo nazi ideology then that is their choice even if we don't agree. As soon as a society suppresses ones choice of beliefs or free speech then surely that society is in danger of becoming that which they suppress.
If this sort of emblem is against the terms of use then he will get banned - p...
That video is just odd.
I played BF4 at Eurogamer and I can tell you that there was no such input latency. In fact the game ran really really fast! I'm sure that other N4G guys who were there would back me up on that.
There was 32 of us playing i'd like to think somebody would have noticed that.
This must be some kind of equipment issue...
I think the consoles are limited in scope so prob will be similar to BF3. PC on the other hand....
Oh and BF4 on XB1 is night and day better than 360. Its like playing PC on medium to high settings albeit it a lower res than the PC crowd would use. It was fantastic on XB1 when I played it with 31 others.
Well I've played forza 5 on XB1 and whilst this isnt quite up to that standard (and I would take that GT6 video of Bathurst as a promo so prob rendered better than PS3), its not far away at all.
It really is remarkable what can be squeezed out of the PS3 at this stage especially when you consider that its GPU isn't all that great. PD must be masters of getting performance out of the Cell's SPUs or magicians or both.
GT6 demo at Eurogamer Expo was ...
That might not be a bad thing. The character generator seems to just chuck out incredibly ugly avatars :)
@ Kingthrash360
You know you are partly right about the wait until he hits me thing although the AI did seem to try to gang up on you if it could which then meant you had to counter mid fight ala batman. It was better than the cqc of assassins creed and very similar to Batman perhaps with out quite so much flow and gymnastics.
My buddy and I played the co-op MP demo at Eurogamer and we had a lot of fun. Its easy just to button mash but that doesn't really...
Based on the text it's more balanced because it's freeing up unused cycles not used by apps when possible.
So no it wouldn't.
This is why I'm happy to wait and get a PS4 middle to late next year once the price has come down and only if there is software that proves its performance over the X1 (and maybe GT7) otherwise I won't bother. I'm sure though that it will prove itself to be a very powerful console.
I think MS will deliver the better online experience with the well proven live and the new Azure/Rio cloud features and dedicated servers hence my decision to get X1 first, plus the lau...
Sounds good to me but it doesn't tie up with the split GPU/extra bits rumour. Will be interesting to see how they answer this.
Having played all of the launch games and multiplats available at Eurogamer I'm quite happy already and trust me when I say nobody who buys an X1 will be dissapointed. Forza and Battlefield 4 were simply glorious and Ryse and CoD ghosts weren't far behind. Battlefield especially I could rant on abouts it's excellence all day - that is ...
And I will be wanting to participate!
